Larry Anon Perkinson, 67 of Salina, passed away August 24, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 24, 1958, in Salina, Kansas.
Larry graduated from Salina Central High School in 1976. He enjoyed many different kinds of music and played the trumpet in the Drum and Bugle Corp and in the high school band. Larry enjoyed working for Salina Tree service for many years and at the Sale Barn until he retired.
He was a talented artist and enjoyed many different mediums of art including sculpting, painting and resin. He enjoyed writing stories. He enjoyed spending time at home with his many hobbies.
He loved spending time with his family, especially playing with his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He had a great love for all animals, especially his cat, Spanky. He would buy tuna and hotdogs to feed the stray cats and even fed a ground hog in his back yard for a while.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marietta (Reed) Siverling, and his nephew, Jesse Perkinson.
He is survived by his father, Don Siverling of Salina; his brothers, David Perkinson and wife Loretta of Salina, Michael Siverling of Chicago, Illinois, and Wayne Siverling and wife Sherie of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Shelly Grandy and husband Steve of Salina; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Larry had a great sense of humor and loved spending time laughing with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Friday August 29, 2025, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St. Salina, KS, with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Ryan Mortuary.
A burial will follow the service at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Culver, KS.
