Justan Ray Smith

Justan Ray Smith, 35, passed away on June 30, 2025 in McPherson, KS. Justan was born on July 19, 1989 in Salina, KS to parents Carlson and Sheri Smith.
Justan was a high school graduate with some college experience. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He served proudly as a combat veteran in the Iraq war.
Justan worked in the field of mechanics. Motorcycles were one of Justan’s favorite things. His love of riding went hand in hand his support of fellow veterans. Heloved all of the poker runs and rides in supporting veteran causes. Justan will be remembered as an amazing son, father, brother, and uncle, as well as a true friend to those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Justan is survived by his parents: Carlson and Sheri Smith; children: Leah, Ava, and Gentry Smith; brothers and sisters: Kirk, Savannah, Kreal, and Karliegh Smith; as well as many extended family members and Friends.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Marquette City Cemetery in Marquette, KS. The family and friends may gather at Crick-Christian’s Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. to process to the cemetery.
Military rites will follow a brief service. Attendees are encouraged to wear Justan’s favorite color, red in honor of the occasion.
Memorials may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses, or to the PTSD charity of their choice.
