Juanita (Nita) June Johnson Stevenson

Juanita (Nita) June Johnson Stevenson went home to be with her Lord, March 27, 2020.

Juanita was born June 1, 1931, in rural Saline County. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Johnson and Gladys Davis, and brothers, Clifford, Raymond, and John.

She is survived by her children, Juanita (Craig) Stone, Joyce Buckland-Rohloff, Jill Buckland, Marty Buckland, Jan (Joe) Zinn, Judy Love and Jo (Wayne) Zachary – her sisters, Betty Waste and Ann Nordboe, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Nita was loved by her many nieces, nephews and friends. As a life-time educator in Kansas and overseas with the DODDS (Department of Defense Dependent Schools), she touched many lives and maintained contact with her far-flung American and European friends and students. She loved to travel and saw most of Europe and the continental United States. Her bright light will be missed by all.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 10th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, New Cambria.
