Joshua Paul Stock

On Tuesday July 27th, 2021, Joshua Paul Stock, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson and friend to all passed away at the age of 31 at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita Kansas after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Joshua was born on January 30th, 1990, in Salina Kansas to Paul and Marcia Stock. Born and raised in Salina, Joshua attended and graduated from Salina South High School in 2008.  After High School, he went on to attend Kansas State University where he graduated with three degrees. His lifelong passion was to fly airplanes. From Piper Cubs to A320 class planes, he loved them all.  Joshua was a very talented and skilled pilot who flew and was type rated in many different aircraft including: the Beech 300 Super King air, several Cessna Citation jet models, sea planes, and most recently the Airbus A320.

From the beginning, Joshua was a beacon of light to all who knew him, a characteristic that followed him through his amazing life.  From a young age, Joshua had a dream of flying, a dream he made come true with hard work and determination. Through his accomplishments as a pilot, he was able to travel the world and visit many places around the globe.  All who knew and loved him were lucky enough to see the world through his pictures and stories. He will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his kind and generous spirit, and his passionate love for flying, assembling Lego’s, and spending time with his family and friends.

Left to mourn Joshua’s passing are his father and mother, Paul, and Marcia Stock. His brother Levi (Madison) Stock, niece Ella. Grandmothers, Lola Stock and Gaylene Holland. His Aunts and Uncles, Christy Stock, Sharie Gillund, Bill (Becky) Stock, Sondra (Art) Bailey, Adonica Holland, many loving cousins, and all his many friends who love him dearly.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford St., Salina.  Burial to be determined.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Emmanuel Four Square Church, 1325 E. Cloud St, Salina.  Burial will take place at the Smoky Hill Cemetery, Lindsborg.
