Joan Arlene Smith, 83, died January 16, 2024 in Salina.  She was born September 4, 1940, in Wabaunsee County, KS, the daughter of Ted and Doris Clark.  She was a homemaker.  Joan loved horses and German Shepherds.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie, her son Rodney Sommer (Janet), and stepsons Donnie (Cheryl), and Ronnie (Janine) Smith, and a brother Ed Clark.

A “Life Celebration Reception” will be held on February 03, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina.  Inurnment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, near Culver Ks at a later date.
