Salina- Eric Carl Ebel, 73, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. Eric was born July 19, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Carl and Josephine Ebel.

Eric proudly served in Vietnam in the 101st Airborne Army Division. He worked as a detective in Michigan before moving to Salina. He had many friends, an amazing sense of humor, and was always the life of the party.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Janet and Carla, and his loving in-laws William J. and Deloris Bryan.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Brenda; his children JoDee Einhaus, Ericka (Brad) Cain, Jeff (Dena) Ebel, and Scott (Jennifer) Ebel, all of Salina. Eric was most proud to be Papa to Spencer and Eric Einhaus, Emma and Jack Cain, Ben, Will and Jacob Ebel, and Hank and Josie Ebel. Other survivors include his brother Mark of Michigan; sisters-in-law Deanna (Lee) Green and Vicki (Jim) Shannon of Salina and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday January 29. 2021 at First Covenant Church Salina, Kansas. Military honors will be conducted by the Salina VFW.
