Elaine Elizabeth Lyman, 77, of Salina, Kan., passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was born on March 21, 1946, in Cherryvale, Kan.

Elaine received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Marymount College, Salina, served as a nurse at St. John’s Hospital, director of nursing for Shalimar Nursing Home, and finished her career at Mowery Clinic in the insurance department. She was active in the First Christian Church of Salina and was past president of VFW Post 1432 Ladies Auxiliary. Elaine enjoyed collecting mouse figurines and loved all Kansas sports teams as well as her beloved KC Chiefs. She enjoyed nature, visiting landmarks, and going on adventures with her dear friend, Diane Kochenbach. Most of all she loved visiting with family and adored all her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Chad Lyman (Amanda), of Salina, Randy Lyman (Tammy Reed), of Azle, Texas, and Lance Lyman (Bridgette), of Ft. Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and brothers, Martin Russell (Francis), George Glines (Elaine), and Alan Glines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lyman; parents, Crawford Russell and Gladys (Tincknell) Glines; stepfather, Lewis Clair Glines; and sister, Betty Arville.
