Doris A. Shroyer, age 89, of Concordia (formerly of Miltonvale), passed away on Thurs., Feb. 22, 2018 at Marquis Place, Concordia. She was born on Feb. 1, 1929 in Rural Clyde, KS to Eli J. & Eva (Chayer) Deschand.
Doris graduated from Miltonvale High School. She married Everett Shroyer on May 12, 1947 in Miltonvale, KS. He preceded her on April 2, 2008. She was a homemaker and operated North Gate Kennels. Everett & Doris were very proud of their efforts as farmers & stockmen and their dairy farm operation. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Miltonvale; E.H.U.; lifetime Member of VFW Aux., Minneapolis; a 4-H leader and several community & card clubs in the Miltonvale area. She served on the first mental health board in Minneapolis.
Doris is survived by her sons; Terry Shroyer (Jeanie), Hohenwald, TN, Frank Shroyer (Doris), Beloit & Bob Shroyer, Geneve, NE; sister, Donna Bartley (Bernice), Grain Valley, MO; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; her parents; sister, Marjorie Bulleigh & daughter in law, Nadiene (Bell) Shroyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm, Monday, February 26, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Miltonvale with Fr. Gale Hammerschmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale. Visitation will be from 12-4 pm, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with a Rosary at 5:30 pm, Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Miltonvale. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Miltonvale in care of the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit
