Donna Isaacson

Donna Kilcoyne-Isaacson, age 79, passed away on October 4, 2023. She was born on January 19, 1944, in Lincoln, Kansas, to the late John Thomas (Jack) Kilcoyne and Grace Mae Cromwell.

Donna’s life was characterized by devotion to her family, her love for animals, and her dedication to her work. Her biggest priority and love in life was her family. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Kansas. She married John Isaacson in Lincoln, Kansas, on June 1, 1963. Several years later, Donna married Perry West on July 15, 1995.

Donna earned her license in cosmetology in Manhattan, Kansas. She worked as a hairdresser for several years. When her daughters, Lisa and Kimberly, were born, Donna shifted her focus to being a full-time wife and mom, providing a loving and nurturing home for her family.

Donna later worked as an administrative assistant at Marymount College in Salina, Kansas. Donna then transitioned to a position as a teacher’s assistant at Lincoln High School, providing support and encouragement to all her students.

Donna attended Bel Air Baptist church and later Trinity United Methodist Church, both in Salina, Kansas.

Donna’s life was a testament to her quiet strength and love for others. She leaves a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will continue to inspire those who truly knew her.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Gwin and husband Jon of Salina, Kansas, and Lisa Green and husband Kent of Lucas, Texas. John and Donna have 9 grandchildren… Spencer Gwin and wife Jane of Lawrence, Kansas; Rhett Enriquez-Gwin of Kansas City; Jordan Green of Denton, Texas; Seth Gwin of Lawrence, Kansas; Sierra Gwin and fiancé Garrett House of Hays, Kansas; Ryan Green of Dallas, Texas; Rachel Lawler and husband Aidan of Boston Massachusetts; John Green of Carrolton Texas, and Rebekah Green of Plano Texas. Donna is also survived by her niece, Betty Kilcoyne-Eilert, and her extended family and friends, who will remember her fondly. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Grace Kilcoyne, and her husbands, John Isaacson and Perry West; her brother, Thomas Kilcoyne; and her niece, Karen Kilcoyne-Sporn.

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina, KS.
