Dolan R. Duewell

Dolan R. Duewell, age 91, left this earthly life on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia. He was born on May 23, 1927 in Lincoln, Kansas to Carl and Grace (Cheney) Duewell.

Dolan served in the US Army and then Air Force during WWII from March 1945 – Feb. 1948 and later was called up from the reserves from Oct. 1950 – Oct. 1951, He was honorably discharged.

He married Lois Trost on Feb. 5, 1956 at the Huscher United Methodist Church, Huscher, Kansas.

Dolan worked on a Spraying Rig for the Santa Fe Railroad. He later was a bookkeeper for Cloud County CO-OP and then Central Savings. He then became self employed as a book keeper from his home.

He is survived by his wife Lois of the home in Concordia, Kansas, a daughter, Lori Duewell, Garland, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Grace, son David Duewell, a brother, Richard Duewell, and a sister, Carlene Lentz.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Tempero officiating. Burial will follow at the Nelson Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 1-8 pm Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Family will be present to receive friends from 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home.
