Deloris Ruth (Gawith) Bergez Pachta was born November 6, 1932, in rural Miltonvale, KS to Vernie & Vivian (Kline) Gawith, the 4th of 8 children. On Tuesday December 30, 2025, she left this world to meet her Lord & Savior.

On December 27, 1959, Deloris married her first love, Marc Bergez. They were immediately blessed with two children of Marc’s first marriage, Sherry & Marc Steven. Soon after followed two girls, Jacqueline & Rheta.

Four years after Marc’s death Deloris found love once again and on Feb 11, 1984, she married Raymond Pachta.

Deloris lived in Delphos, KS the majority of her 93 years and was a well-known Hair Stylist for 64 of those years. She was a woman of virtue. She was genuine & honest to a fault. She loved her family and friends deeply. She faithfully followed Jesus and made sure to share her faith with you, from the salon chair, living room recliner, kitchen table or finally her room in the nursing home and usually while wearing her signature bright red lipstick.

Deloris was preceded in death by her brother, Jake; then her parents, Vernie and Vivian Gawith; husband Marc; siblings, Okla, Lawrence, Leroy, Mable Jane Johnson, and husband Raymond.

Survivors are her children Sherry of Vancouver WA, Marc Steven (Molly) of Kennewick WA, Jacqueline (Karen) of Mount Joy, PA & Rheta (Jim) Scheib of Sanford, FL. Siblings Kathryn Paige & Kenny Gawith, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 5, 2026, at Words of Light Fellowship Church, Delphos. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Delphos Senior Center or Love In Action and may be left in care of the funeral home.
