Delores Ann Rice, 78, of Salina, Kansas, surrounded by her loving family, passed away on Friday, February 10th, 2023.

Delores was born in Denver, Colorado on May 2, 1944, a daughter of the late Adah (Markley) and Melvin John Wise.

She was a longtime waitress at Bayard’s Cafe, worked at Kenwood View Nursing Home, and was a Daycare Provider for many years.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Garman, Brenda Jones (Jason), Tony Vallejo (Erika), Shane Sheets, Jason Sheets; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and Dougie the dog.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Butch; son, Melvin; and grandson, Kurt.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 1st at Ottawa County State Lake in Bennington, Kansas.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Salina or the Salina Animal Shelter, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas.
