Deanna was born to Robert Lewis and Marjorie (Walle) Andrews on October 11, 1951, in Salina, KS. Deanna married Daniel Boccia on June 23, 1973, in Salina and they had 3 children. Together they built a beautiful life and made many wonderful memories.

Deanna especially enjoyed taking family vacations and many trips with Daniel. She loved Colorado and was always on board for a new adventure or a repeat visit to one of her favorite places. She loved taking girl’s trips with her two daughters and visiting her son in Colorado. Deanna was active in several Pitch card groups and loved playing cards with family and friends. She also belonged to a sorority group for many years. Deanna loved her family tremendously and always made every occasion special. She made sure a celebration was had for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and especially her favorite time of year, Christmas. Family and friends always enjoyed Deanna’s house at Christmas time as it was decorated beautifully and so very welcoming. Deanna was always up for a good meal out with family and friends, and you could be sure to find her enjoying her favorite beverage, Dr. Pepper. Deanna was a great host for many K-State tailgate parties, and we knew we could always count on lots of good food, and everything planned to the last detail.  She enjoyed season tickets with family and friends for many years. She also absolutely loved taking photos and always had her camera in tow.

Deanna graduated from Salina Central High School in 1969 and then earned a degree in Business from Brown Mackie Community College. She worked for Graves Truck Line for 10 years in the Claims Department followed by 25 years of service at Wal-Mart where she worked in the claims department, card department (which she especially enjoyed), and grocery receiving. She took a well-deserved retirement in 2012 whereafter she enjoyed taking trips, family time, crossword puzzles, playing pitch, bingo nights at the VFW and being a member of the VFW women’s auxiliary.
