Dave A. Aggson, age 71, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Thursday, April 09, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home in Concordia. He was born on Dec. 16, 1948 in Great Bend, KS to Dareld “Babe” L. & Charlene E. (Seeman) Aggson.

Dave graduated from Larned High School in 1966 and attended the University of Kansas until being drafted into the US Army where he served on the motorcycle patrol in Washington, DC. Dave married Denise Snyder on July 26, 1975 in Larned, KS.

Dave joined the Kansas Highway Patrol in the fall of 1974 and served as an active duty patrolman and later as a Motor Carrier Inspector full time until 2006 and retired in 2018 as a Master Trooper.

Dave was a lifetime member of the Concordia American Legion Post #76. He enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, coaching Pee-Wee baseball and was an avid KU basketball & KC Royals fan.

He is survived by his wife, Denise, Concordia; children; Eric Aggson (Tonya), Blue Springs, MO, Travis Aggson (Jenny), Manhattan, Austin Aggson (Rachael), Maize, Kiley Ramsey (Clint), Springfield, MO, Jordan Aggson (Janene), Concordia and Nickie Edgington (Josh), Pittsburg; sister, Kaye Boor (Bill), Sterling and 19 grandchildren; Pierceton, Connor, Maverick, Brooklyn, Ethan, Quinlyn, Harlie, Miranda, Addison, Cameryn, Layla, Saben, Daphne, Gunnar, Avelyn, Tuck, Ambria, Vada & William.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

It was Dave’s wishes to be cremated and memorial services will be announced at a later date when conditions allow for larger gatherings. Burial of the cremains will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to NCK Honor Flight or the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
