Christopher Wade Thrush

Christopher Wade Thrush, 32, went to be with our Lord Monday, December 25, 2023.  He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado April 11, 1991 to Charlie and Becky (Bunting) Thrush.

He was mainly raised in Kansas – Herington, Enterprise and Salina. He has two older siblings from his parents, Tesia and Joshua. He has two older sisters Jinell and Netiasha, and he has two younger sisters Harley and Allie.  He helped create three beautiful children with Brandi Rader:  Isabella – 14, Temperance – 13 and Amethyst – 11 Thrush.  Around the age of 22 he decided he wanted to move to the state he was born in.  He made lots of friends who loved him and who he loved.  He decided to move home to Kansas again; the week before he left he was telling all his friends goodbye.  He had a massive stroke Friday, December 8th and was transferred to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.  We gave it our best shot at him coming back to us whole and realized finally it wasn’t going to happen.  We removed the ventilator Friday, December 22 and early Christmas morning Chris went to heaven, a place of no more pain.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Thrush; his uncles’ Everett Thrush and Clyde Thrush; his aunt Debbie Thrush; his cousin Chad Thrush; his grandparents, Cloyce Thrush, Elizabeth (Candy) Knowles, Cindy and Chuck Losey, and James Bunting Sr. He is survived by his mom/second dad Becky and Derrin Albers; siblings Tesia (Michael) O’Dell and nephew Tristin, Joshua, Jinell, Netiasha, Harley and Allie; uncles Cecil Thrush and Carl Thrush, James Bunting Jr, aunts Jamie Mason, Jana Alexander, Charli (Doug) Wall, Lisa Bunting, Lilly Pena, Joyce Thrush and Mary Thrush; and numerous cousins and great aunts and uncles.

He is dearly missed by his family and friends around the states.  He was finally able to be at peace with the person he was; and he made amends before his passing.  It was time to go to his final home.

Cremation was chosen.  We are holding a celebration of life Saturday, January 27th at 10:00 at Christ the Lord Community Church, 210 W Shipton Rd, Salina, KS 67401.
