Christopher L. Giroux

Christopher L. Giroux, 24, of Salina, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021. Christopher blessed this world with his arrival on January 17, 1997, forever wrecking his sister Kelci’s life.

He was most well-known for his boujee ways, infectious smile and never-ending appetite for everything!

Christopher was called friend by many. His very large group of friends each knew how special their presence in his life was to him. From simple messages to checking in with them and the many spoken “I got you’s”, his friends always knew they could count on him for anything they needed.

When his mother, Dawn, needed them the most, these treasured friends showed up in force, sharing with a grief-stricken Mother, the power of a son’s love. They grieved with her and consoled her with the knowledge that Chris always let them know that his mom was his best friend and his sister Kelci a close second.

Speaking of his annoying sister…When Chris lost his leg in an accident two years ago, his anguish, fear and frustration resulted in him pushing everyone who loved him away from his bedside in the hospital, with the only exception being his beloved sister, Kelci. Kelci provided round-the-clock care during this tough time in his young life.

Christopher’s passion for life was matched only by his persistence and strength of character. Within two days of the accident that took his leg, he insisted on returning to his job (and did). It was this persistence and strength of character that kept him always moving forward and chasing the boujee things in this life!

Chris shared a special bond with his father, Norman, who preceded him in death in 2010. His remaining family; Dawn, mother; Kelci, sister; Mary, grandmother; Bill, grandfather and Cody, CJ and Austin Giroux, brothers, as well as, all other family and friends, will forever be changed by the loss of this special boy.

Momma’s nightly ritual text, “Good night, Son. I love you,” will keep Chris’s memory alive and well in her heart and mind for the rest of her years on this earth without him, following this tremendous loss.

“We got you now, Christopher Lee.” Forever in our hearts. Your family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, with the family receiving friends at this time.

The funeral will be held at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia Rd, on Wednesday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
