Charlotte Louise Ashton

Charlotte Louise Ashton 87, of Salina, passed away Monday, May 28,
2018. She was born April 7, 1931 in Salina, the daughter of Albert
and Hazel (Shelton) Gorrell. Charlotte worked for Buehler Mayflower
Movers of Denver for twenty-one years, retired in 1975 and moved back
to Salina in 1977. She was a excellent seamstress and made custom
draperies for several interior decorators. She was a master quilter
and she enjoyed gardening.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her busband, Oscar Ashton in 2000;
two infant brothers; and two sisters, Freda Harbaugh and Alberta
Savoy.

Survivors include son, Russell (Susan) Ashton; daughter, Charlene
Ashton; sister, Udena McKee; five grandchildren, nine great
grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday May 31, 2018 at the
Ryan Mortuary. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 1, 2018
at Ryans. Memorials are to the New Community Christian Church.
