Cathy J. Miller

Cathy J. Miller, age 72, formerly of Concordia, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Salina, KS. She was born on Dec. 27, 1947 in Concordia KS to James “Red” and Alta M. (Lathrop) Worley.

She married Arthur “Art” Miller on May 23, 1970 in Concordia, KS. He preceded her on August 24, 2014. Cathy was award clerk for many years at St. Joseph Hospital working on the psychiatric ward and the medical floor. She also was medical transcriptionist for St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia; she later worked for SRS as a child advocate, Youthville and Arbor Hope. She was currently working for St. Francis Ministries. She was an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Concordia, and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, Salina and recently the Christ Cathedral in Salina Kansas. Cathy held a lot of positions within the church and loved her church family dearly.

She is survived by a son, Tony Miller (Kathleen), Aurora; daughter, Ticia Miller-Brandenburg (Brady), Salina; grandchildren, Angel(Dustin)Binger, Michael Malcuit, Azalia(Jordan)Cunningham, Christopher, & Alizabeth (Bug) Malcuit & Kahlie, Katlynn & Keyan Miller; great grandchildren Aidric Malcuit, Londynn & Kisynn Cunningham, John Giesler, Dustin & Lyndzy Binger and numerous others who called her grandma along with brothers in-law, Robert(Terry)Miller of Connecticut, Mark(Tammy) Miller of GlenElder Kansas, Marianna(Bob)Richard Beloit Kansas, numerous nieces & nephews and others who she was ‘mom’ to.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; her parents, in-laws and a bunch of aunts, uncles and dear friends.

It was Cathy’s wishes to be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at 10 am on September 12th at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia with Fr. David Hodges officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 10 am to 8 pm with the family greeting friends from 7-8 pm, September 11th at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
