Carolyn Ann Serrault

Carolyn Ann Serrault, 77, of Salina, entered into eternal peace Thursday, June 21, 2018. Carolyn was born March 21, 1941, to Virgil and Lulu (Morgison) Heitsman in Clifton, Kan.

She married James E. “Jim” Serrault in September 1957. They shared a wonderful marriage of forty-two years until Jim’s death in June 2000. Together they built a strong family business, Serrault Roofing, Inc. Outside of work they enjoyed antiquing, lake trips, family card games of pitch and traveling with their closest friends.

Carolyn lived a life full of joy and laughter and had a smile for anyone she encountered. She enjoyed an active social life including theatre, movies and concerts. Her affiliations included Salina Regional Health Center Auxiliary, Collectors’ Club, First Presbyterian Church and Meals on Wheels. Carolyn was blessed with a family and many friends that adored her. Creative and energetic, she especially enjoyed gardening, interior decorating and entertaining for those special people in her life that she loved so much.

Left to cherish her beautiful memories are two daughters, Tami Sutton (Rob Robertson), of Kansas City, and Kellie Wilson (Rusty), of Salina; grandchildren, Keegan Wilson (Mandy), of Salina, Shelby (Dan Rathbun), of Lincoln, Kan., and Tucker Sutton, of Kansas City. Carolyn also had six loving great-grandchildren, along with her special companion, Ron Green, of Salina.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Ryan Mortuary. A private family burial will follow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Saline County Animal Shelter, Hospice of Salina or KU Alzheimer’s Disease Center, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 M. Eighth St., Salina, KS 67401.
