Brandon Maurice Lester, 36, Salina, KS gained his wings on January 9, 2024. Brandon was a graduate of Salina South High School. Brandon was a member of the 2004 Salina South Football 5A State Championship team. It was Brandon who helped make the game winning tackle at the 1-yard line to defeat the defending champions Olathe North High School. He will be missed by many.

Brandon is survived by his father, Percy Lester; son, Uriah Lester; daughter, Alisa Lester; sister, Monica McNelly; grandmother, Marie Clincy; two uncles, Simmie Tyrone (Lisa) and Ricky Clincy; stepfather, Mike Diaz (Dawn); brother, Joshua Diaz; stepsister, Gabriella Diaz; stepbrother, Mackenzie Diaz and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Renee Gaston, grandmother Carol Gaston, and great grandparents Joe & Hazel Patterson.

Services will be held at 12 noon Friday, January 19, 2024, at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. The viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North 8th Street, Salina, Kansas.
