Blanche “Lavone” Clark

Blanche Lavone Clark, 97, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, July 25th, 2023.

Lavone was born in Wichita, Kansas on March 11, 1926, a daughter of Bessie MayBelle (Milleson) and Carl Vernon Nelson.

On October 10, 1944, Lavone married Herbert Clark in Salina.

She worked as a Clerk in the Appraisal Office for Saline County and retired in 1986 after 20 years.

Lavone was a member of the Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, was President of the Peace Officers Women’s Auxiliary, and she was also an avid cross stitcher.

Survivors include her daughter, Lorene Burch, (Roger), of Salina; three sons, Dennis Clark, (Jill), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bill Clark, (Cathy), of Salina, Bob Clark, (Marian), of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, and her best friend, Kermit.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herb; and sister, Orise Halford.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 1st at Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, Salina.

Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gentiva Hospice, Sunflower Adult Day Service Inc., or Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
