Beth “Charleen” Fekas, a cherished wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2026, after a brief battle with illness. Born on May 19, 1939, in South Gate, California, Charleen was the daughter of Dorothy and Flavis Kilgarriff.
Charleen was a woman of unwavering spirit and gentle grace, deeply devoted to her family and her passions. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Bill, who stood by her side through every chapter of their journey together.
Together, Charleen and Bill raised two children, John and Teresa Fekas. Charleen’s nurturing spirit and endless love for her family extended to her granddaughter, Christina (Cole) Groteluschen, and her great-grandchildren, Vivian and Henry, who brought joy and laughter in her later years.
Charleen’s heart was as expansive as the great outdoors she adored. An avid lover of the natural world and its creatures, she found solace and joy in spending countless hours in her tack room, reading Western novels and riding her horses.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Bill Fekas Family Christmas Dinner, PO Box 2173, Salina, Kansas 67402, in Charleen’s memory.
Charleen’s family extends their deepest gratitude to Eagle Crest Retirement Home and Geneva Hospice.
