Bernard M. Wojcik

Bernard M Wojcik, 87, passed on Sunday 27 Jan, 2019. He was born in Baltimore, MD on Aug 6, 1931 to Peter Wojcik and Catherine Majka. An Air Force veteran, he served at Shilling/Smokey Hill AFB during Korea. Before returning to Salina in the early 1970’s, he served as a logistics coordinator for the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, supporting research facilities in India. He was a longtime resident of Salina, having operated a custom cabinet shop and Salina Travel with his wife Jean. He loved fishing and local stock car races with his friends at Virg’s Auto. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Brann; daughters, Valoree, Pamela and son, David; brothers, George, Peter, Raymond; sisters, Barbara, Irene, and Bernadine. Bernie was one of 10 children and is survived by his sister, Charlotte Groves and brothers, Frank Wojcik and Robert McAllister; and grandchildren Andrew, Adrian, David, Kendra, Jamie and Phillip.
