Altha Elaine (Ives) Yoxall

Altha Elaine (Ives) Yoxall, age 92, entered into rest on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born in Hays, Kansas on June 29, 1928 to Harold and Hilma (Fischer) Ives.

She was a 1946 graduate of Stockton High School, Stockton, Kansas. She was a Cloud County Community College graduate 1983 receiving her Associates degree in Nursing.

On December 28, 1946 she married Edward Yoxall in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2004.

Elaine worked at the St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia as a Registered Nurse for 25 plus years before retiring.

She was member of American Legion and VFW, Concordia, Kansas.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, Reading, Playing marbles, Crocheting and Knitting and watching the KC Royals and Cheif’s games.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Dennis Yoxall (Jacquelyn), Wichita, KS; Scott Yoxall, Concordia, KS;

5 grandchildren, Nicole Green, Wichita, KS; Kristin Rausch (Jared), Haysville, KS; Leslie Robertson (Bill), Mulvane, KS; Rachelle Ngo (Chris), Andover, KS; Nic Yoxall, Wichita, KS;

15 great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jordon Paul, Allie, Colin, and Isabella Green, Garrett and Ryder Rausch, Reece, and Paige Robertson, Ashton, Kali, Laykkn, and Knox Ngo and Elizabeth Yoxall.

2 sisters, Ruth Fenton (Raleigh), Stockton, KS; Dixie Rose, Wagner, OK;

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, parents, Harold and Hilma, 3 brothers, A.J. Ives, Max Ives, Dean Ives and 2 sisters, Norma Moore and Joyce Keeton.

It was Elaine’s wishes to have been cremated.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Dwight Whitead officiating.
