Allen Blaine Reed

Allen Blaine Asbridge Reed, 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday morning, April 4th, 2024, at his home. He was born January 19th, 1957, at the Schilling Air Force Base Hospital in Salina, to one Allen Conrad Reed and Connie J. (Aills) Reed Asbridge.

Blaine worked his teenage years for Paul and John Miller, at Millers Produce Market. While working for the Millers, Blaine always made sure that his family had plenty of Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Fresh tomatoes, and much more. He also worked for Loux Home Improvements, which was owned by his grandmother LeeElla Esse and Arthur J. Loux. He also worked for some time at Midwest Security and Ballou Construction.

Blaine then served his country in the US Army. After that, he moved to Minnesota and started his own painting service for the newly built apartments in the community.

Blaine grew up in the Saina area and he attended Central High School. (Go Mustangs).

Blaine is survived by his sons, Ryan Will (Nichole) of Bavaria, KS, and Brad (Jessica) Reed of Salina. His grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Zakery, Dayton, Donivyn, Zayne, Erica, Madelynn, and Carter. Then he has a Great-Grandbaby Hollister and the pending arrival of Nova, He is also survived by his mother, Connie J (Aills) Asbridge Wilson of Salina, stepmother, Janis Poskey of Washington, IL, Grandmother Betty Aills of Salina. He also had a great love for his siblings, Brothers, Mike (Candi) Asbridge and Douglas Asbridge, both of Salina, Sisters, LeeElla (James) Vittoe and Laura Asbridge, both of Salina, and Jera Lynn (Tegan) McCullough of Washington, IL. He also had many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a host of many friends.

Blaine is preceded in death by his father’s, Allen Conrad Reed, and Jerry S. (Jake) Asbridge, Sr. His grandparents LeeElla, Alvin and Winifred Burch, Lester Aills, and Ray Asbridge. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry S. Asbridge, Jr. and Sister, Winifred K. Hall.

Blaine was a member of the Ray Avenue Baptist Church, Salina, which was started by his Uncle Dr. Bob Aills, who preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Blaine’s Life will be at a later date, to be announced.
