Union nurses at a Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph hospital are authorizing a strike.

Nurses at the Wichita hospital voted 90-percent in favor of authorizing the strike this week.

Nurses say that there is a staffing crisis at the hospital because management is refusing to get serious about nurse recruitment and retention.
