A new leader is selected for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. KWCH reports that Governor Laura Kelly has selected Janet Stanek as the agency’s new secretary.

Stanek previously worked as Director of the State Employee Health Benefits Program.

She will serve as acting director until the Kansas Senate confirms her appointment.
