The state of Kansas is taking steps to address staffing shortages at 24-seven state facilities.

Governor Laura Kelly announced a series of new pay initiatives yesterday that will impact the Kansas Department of Corrections, Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, state hospitals and the Kansas Commission of Veterans Affairs Office.

The Kansas Plan will include long-term and temporary pay increases, permanent pay raises and temporary pay differentials.
