Kansas AG Challenges Federal Vaccine Mandate for Head Start

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt is challenging the new federal vaccine mandate for Head Start programs.

KWCH reports that Schmidt filed a lawsuit yesterday challenging the mandate. Schmidt says that the mandate will place a greater strain on the availability of childcare programs for low-income Kansas families.

The mandate calls for Head Start staff and volunteers who come into contact with students to receive COVID-19 vaccinations by January 31st.
