The Goodland Police Department is mourning the loss of its police chief.

Goodland Police Chief Frank Hayes died yesterday morning from medical complications at the age of 53.

Hayes had served as Goodland police chief since September 2020, but he had previously served as a police officer in Goodland from 2003 to 2004 before returning to the Goodland Police Department in 2017.
