Former Wesley Medical Center Employee Charged in Human Remains Trafficking Investigation

A former Wesley Medical Center employee is charged in connection with a human remains trafficking investigation.

Thirty-nine-year-old Angelo Pereyra was charged on May 15th with interstate transport of stolen goods.

Prosecutors say Pereyra and a Pennsylvania man caused human remains to be transported between Kansas and Pennsylvania.

Wesley Medical Center says the hospital assisted in the investigation, and Pereyra was terminated.
