A former Kansas lawmaker is joining the Trump administration.

Former State Representative Patrick Penn has been appointed as the Deputy Undersecretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services at the United States Department of Agriculture.

Penn served in the Kansas House representing portions of Wichita and Bel Aire from 2021 until earlier this month.
