A firefighter is seriously injured while battling a fire at a Wichita apartment complex. The fire broke out yesterday at the Aspen Park apartments near Central and Tyler.

One firefighter was taken to a hospital with a heat-related injury that was serious, but not considered life-threatening.

A 16-unit apartment building was destroyed in the fire, which is under investigation.
