A fire at Hesston College is under investigation.

The blaze broke out in a chemistry classroom in the 300-block of South College Drive in Hesston on Friday.

The damage was contained to a single room, but the nearby Kauffman Court residence hall was evacuated due to concern over chemical smoke. The incident is under investigation.
