A Wichita-based fast-food chain is sold. Spangles has been acquired by the Hamideh family, who own and operate IHOP restaurants in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

The restaurant chain was founded by Dale and Craig Steven, who had owned it since January 1978.
