A driver was rescued from a muddy creek in Russell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says that crews were called on Tuesday to I-70 one mile west of Russell after a vehicle, driven by 76-year-old Michael Dreiling, went into a ditch and became submerged in a creek.

Dreiling, who was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, suffered an unknown medical condition prior to the crash.
