An in-home daycare center in Newton is temporarily closed by the state.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued an Emergency Order of Suspension for Bright Beginnings Daycare at 305 South Main Street.

The suspension comes after the KDHE received information that a child was injured at the daycare on October 29th.
