The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Kingman Police Department are investigating multiple allegations of child sexual abuse made against an owner of a home daycare, who also had access to children while employed as a bus driver with Kingman-Norwich public schools.

According to the KBI, on Tuesday evening an allegation of child rape was reported to officers of the Kingman Police Department. At approximately 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, the Kingman Police Department arrested Tony Streight, 47, for rape of a child under 14 years of age, and indecent liberties with a child. The arrest occurred at the Kingman law enforcement center. Following his arrest, Streight was booked into the Kingman County Jail.

The Kingman Police Department requested KBI assistance on Aug. 6, at around 4:50 p.m. KBI agents responded to help investigate.

Streight was one of two adults operating a home daycare at 250 East H Ave., in Kingman. The daycare, Little Explorers Playschool, had operated since 2017, and was licensed since 2022.
