A convicted killer is headed to prison in southeastern Kansas.

Thirty-year-old Mark Hopkins the Second has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2020 deaths of Blaze Swank and Kylan Shook. The murders took place in June 2020 in Cherokee County.

Hopkins pleaded guilty last month to two counts of premeditated first-degree murder in the case.
