Warnings or advisories linked to blue-green algae are currently in effect for three lakes in the Sunflower State.

Kansas Department of Health and Environment officials issued a blue-green algae warning for Osage County’s Pomona Lake this week.

The warning reportedly indicates that conditions are unsafe for humans and pets.

Meanwhile, blue-green algae advisories reportedly were posted for Big Eleven and Melvern lakes in Osage County.
