A case involving drugs and guns in a home with a child in it ends with the arrest of a Dickinson County man.
According to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, on August 22nd deputies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant in the 300 Block of Opal Road in Dickinson County. While attempting to locate the subject, they developed probable cause that controlled substances were within the residence and had encountered a young child who was living there.
A search warrant was obtained and later executed. During the search of the residence, deputies found:
- Methamphetamine
- Marijuana
- Cocaine
- Drug paraphernalia
- multiple firearms.
As a result of the investigation and search warrant, Orren D. Huiett, 22, of Abilene was arrested and booked into the Dickinson County Detention Facility on the following requested charges:
- Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
- Aggravated Endangering a Child
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- No Drug Tax Stamp
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon
