Wood Stove, Tools Stolen

KSAL Staff - February 29, 2016 12:46 pm

Deputies with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a couple of unrelated burglaries. Captain Roger Soldan reports that a wood burning stove was taken from a Morton building on a property in the 5100 block of N. Hohneck Road, northwest of Salina. The owner told officers someone entered the building and took the King brand stove valued at $900, sometime between 9am Saturday and 1:45am Sunday.

Multiple construction tools were stolen from a home remodel site in the 1900 block of S. Lightville Road. Deputies say a panel on the door to the attached garage was kicked in sometime between 12pm Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am and removed drills, frame nailers, an air compressor, saws, tool box and hand tools. Total loss and damage is estimated at over $3,700.
