Suspected Drug Operation Busted

A months long investigation into what authorities describe as a “large scale drug distribution group” in the Salina area culminated this week with multiple agencies working together to execute four search warrants, and in the process seizing a large amount of drugs and guns.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, on Tuesday of this week the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force, Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Salina Police Department, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation culminated a multi-month investigation into a large scale drug distribution group in the Salina area. The agencies executed 4 search warrants at the following locations:

  • 759 Seneca – Salina
  • 1018 Otto – Salina
  • 3343 Ringneck – Salina
  • 552 1400 Avenue – Abilene

Three people were arrested at the locations for various narcotics related charges. Law Enforcement also seized approximately 18 pounds of methamphetamine and numerous firearms.

Additional charges are being considered and the investigation continues.

Saline County Jail records show that three people were booked into the facility in connection with the case. They are:

  • 23-year-old Adrian Ayala Garcia – Abilene
  • 25-year-old Francisco Javier Carrilo-Elias – Salina
  • 28-year-old Eduardo Ponce-Serrano – Salina
