Christian Rock Tour to Rock Downtown Salina

If you hear a rumble coming from the Downtown Salina area tonight, it won’t be thunder. It will be the sounds of the Small Town America Tour.

The tour is making a Salina stop, and will perform a free outdoor concert. The show will be in the City of Salina parking lot, across the street from the City Teen Center.

Teen Center Executive Director Shawn Copeland tells KSAL News that the Small Town America Tour features multiple christian rock acts. Among those who will perform are Seventh Day Slumber,Fireflight,Shonlock, and Scarlet White.

Copeland says that a large crowd is anticipated. “I would be happy with 300-400 people,” he said. “But we might have upwards of 1,000,” he added.

All of the bands that will take the stage are on the cutting-edge of the christian rock scene. Copeland says that each is popular with the younger crowd, with Fireflight and Seventh Day Slumber being the most popular.

The Small Town America Tour show runs 6:30 – 9:30 Thursday evening in Downtown Salina.
