KSAL Staff - September 14, 2013 8:24 am

A driver is hurt when his truck crashes and bursts into flames.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Mark Hitzfield of Ogden was driving a semi pulling a grain trailer southeast of Abilene in the 1200 Block of 1400 Ave. For an unknown reason he lost control. The truck rolled and came to rest on its top in a ditch. It caught fire and was completely destroyed.

Hitzfield, who was buckled up, was hurt. He was transported to the hospital in Abilene.

The crash happened at 3:32 Friday afternoon nine miles southeast of Abilene in Dickinson county.
