Salina Woman Hurt In Incident In KC

A Salina woman is hurt in a strange accident while driving in the Kansas City area.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 39-year-old Meg Gravette-Holmgren was driving a car headed west on Interstate 70. A pickup truck towing a car was headed east.

Troopers say the front right wheel and tire of the towed vehicle came off. The tire and wheel crossed over the barrier wall and struck the windshield and roof of Gravette-Holmgren’s car.

She was hurt, and was transported to KU Medical Center. Troopers say that Gravette-Holmgren was buckled up.

The incident happened Monday afternoon on I-70 at milepost 420.8 ast of 18th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
