Salina Downtown Inc. has a new person in charge.

According to the organization, Penny Bettles has been prompted to Managing Director.  This promotion will fill the immediate void for the Executive Director’s position.

“The decision was an easy one for the board as Penny has several years of experience with Salina Downtown and has done an excellent job” said Dan Martin, President of Salina Downtown, Inc. “Her passion for the people and businesses within the district is undeniable.”

Bettles will work to recruit new businesses to the downtown, while continuing to assist existing members promote their businesses and educating others about the many services SDI offers for the betterment of the entire district.

An administrative assistant will be hired to help as business recruitment and programming efforts ramp up. These changes will allow Salina Downtown to again have published daily office hours and to efficiently assist all the exciting projects currently underway and those yet to come to downtown Salina.
