UPDATE: Missing Family Found Safe

Police say that a mother and her two children who have been missing since March 31st have been found safe.

Rebecka Lorentsen and her two children had not been seen since leaving their Salina home to attend a school event.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that all three have been located safe, in another town. Sweeney says that nothing criminal happened, and that the case is closed.


ORIGINAL: Salina Police are looking for a mother and her two children who have not been seen since March 31st.

According to the department, they are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Rebecka L. Lorentsen (a.k.a. Swatsenbarg) and her two children, 15 year-old Donald Lorentsen and 7 year-old Ember Schultz.

Rebecka and the children were last seen on the evening of March 31, 2016, when they left their residence in the 1400 block of South 9th Street to go to a school function at Salina South High School.

They left the residence between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. and were going to ride a City Go bus to the school. They did not arrive at the school and did not return home.
