Meth Found in Vehicle

A traffic stop leads to a drug related arrest.

According to Captain Chris Trocheck, an officer on patrol stopped a driver for a traffic violation near the corner of S. Broadway and Crawford at 1:30am Thursday.

Further investigation led to the discovery of 3.1 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Police also found a .25 caliber automatic pistol with ammunition and arrested 49-year-old Sukina Jefferson of Salina on possession of meth with intent to sell and criminal possession of a weapon.

Captain Trocheck tells KSAL News that a prior felony conviction makes it illegal for Jefferson to have a gun.

Police also arrested a passenger in the vehicle, 29-year-old Heather Urbanek on outstanding warrants.
