A family fund has been established for a child who was killed in a Monday fire.

Family members tell KSAL News that 21 month old Sawyer White was killed when a fire swept through his home in Belleville. A sibling was inured, and hospitalized.

An online account has been set up to help the family pay for funeral expenses. The family did not yet have life insurance for Sawyer.

Officials say the fire broke out in the home’s basement, though the cause of the blaze was not immediately known. The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
